Delete your Max Counter account

This page explains how to delete your account in the Max Counter app, published by SELFCUT ACADEMY LLC, and what happens to your data. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 1 — In the app (immediate)

Open the Max Counter app and sign in.
Tap the Profile icon on the home screen.
In the Danger zone section, tap Delete my account.
Confirm your identity: enter your password, or sign in again with Google if you use Google sign-in.
Tap Delete forever.

Your account is deleted immediately.

Option 2 — Without the app

If you no longer have the app, send an email to support@themaxcounter.com:

from the email address of your Max Counter account;
with the subject “Account deletion”.

We may ask you to confirm your identity before deleting the account. We handle the request within one month at most and confirm the deletion by email.

Delete some data without deleting your account

You can also erase part of your data and keep your account:

Linked accounts (Instagram, TikTok…): Profile → Unlink account icon → Unlink. The linked account and its access tokens are deleted from our servers and the access granted to Max Counter is revoked.
Device: on the device screen, Remove device. It is unlinked from your account.
Device shares: on the device screen, remove a user and confirm Remove access.
Widgets and their parameters (city, channel, etc.): on the device screen, remove the widget. This data is only stored on your phone and your device.
Crash diagnostics: turn off Profile → Share crash diagnostics to stop sending reports. Reports already sent are deleted after 90 days, or sooner on request.
Any other data: email support@themaxcounter.com from your account’s email address, stating which data to delete. We handle the request within one month at most.

Data deleted with your account

Your account: email address, name, profile picture, password (hashed), verification status.
Your linked accounts (Google, Instagram, TikTok) and their access tokens; we also revoke the access you granted Max Counter on those services.
Your sessions and sign-in tokens: you are signed out everywhere.
Device shares to or from your account.

Data that is kept

Data that is not on our servers: your widget configuration, widget parameters (city, channel, etc.), and Wi-Fi credentials are stored on your phone and your device. To erase them, uninstall the app and reset your device (device settings in the app, or factory reset).
